LES CLAYPOOL Names The Five Albums He Listened To A Lot During PRIMUS' Early Days

"Likely stoned," he adds.

Primus frontman Les Claypool recently named the five albums he couldn't live without during the early days of the band. In an interview with Spin, Claypool gave lengthy explanations for each record alongside a brief reason why he didn't choose albums that he's been into lately.

"Because I've done some of these lists in the past and being that my brain would explode if I only could pick five, I've decided to put down what was likely in the contents of the CD carousel back in the early days when Larry LaLonde and I were rolling around in the old '76 Dodge conversion van, around Northern California. Likely stoned."

They are:

  1. Pink FloydThe Wall
  2. Public EnemyIt Takes A Nation Of Millions To Hold Us Back
  3. Tom WaitsRain Dogs
  4. Red Hot Chili PeppersThe Uplift Mofo Party Plan
  5. FishboneIn Your Face

Primus will release their new EP Conspiranoid on April 22, and will perform Rush's entire 1977 album A Farewell To Kings followed by a set of their own material. Get the dates below.
