Atheist has been bringing its particular brand of disjointed progressive metal since 1988. That got followed up with a comment as well on the band's Facebook page.

I mean, the band's discography has been flawless up to this point and I can't imagine the final Atheist record is going to tarnish that reputation. As a fan, I hope we get a few more, but if this has got to be it and Shaefer knows it, then I'm curious to see what he wants the band's epitaph to be.
