Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor recently stated that he "couldn't give less of a shit" about the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, saying being in there in meaningless and wouldn't help him sleep at night. Now Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson has taken a slightly different approach to the criticism and straight up calls the hall a load of bullshit.
In a spoken word tour stop in Melbourne, Australia, Dickinson tells the audience that the hall is "an utter, complete load of bollocks" and that it's run by "a bunch of sanctimonious bloody Americans who wouldn’t know rock’n’roll if it hit them in the face." To which I say – yeah, agreed.
“Absolutely!
I actually think the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame is an utter, complete load of bollocks to be honest with you.
It’s run by a bunch of sanctimonious bloody Americans who wouldn’t know rock’n’roll if it hit them in the face. They need to stop taking Prozac and start drinking fucking beer!”
This year's bands being considered for the attraction endless marketing circle jerk hall are Radiohead, Def Leppard, Stevie Nicks, Rage Against the Machine, The Cure, Devo and more.
