ICE NINE KILLS' DAN SUGARMAN Is Cancer Free

This is great news!

Dan Sugarman

Ice Nine Kills guitarist Dan Sugarman is currently sitting out the band's tour due to a recent thyroid cancer diagnosis. Now in a new email update to patrons of his online shop, Sugarman has revealed he's since undergone surgery and is now 100% cancer free! We wish Sugarman all the best in his ongoing recovery, and hope this is the last time he's gotta deal with cancer.

"When a mistake is made, its often times so easy to let the blame fall on anyone else but yourself… I have something to admit. I made some mistakes, and its time to make this right!" wrote Sugarman in the opening paragraphs of his announcement.

"With all of the orders that came through in support of my Thyroid Cancer discovery & recovery a few months ago, we didn't have the personnel required to handle such volumes of orders! Update: don't worry, I had surgery and am 100% healthy and c-free!"

Filling in for Sugarman is currently Doc Coyle (God Forbid, Bad Wolves) and Miles Dimitri Baker (Interloper, Voidbringer). Sugarman's original statement upon dropping off tour is as follows.

"This is the hardest thing I've ever had to do, but there's a reason for everything… And you've probably been wondering where I've been. I appreciate your love and support more than you could ever know. This vlog update explains it all. Please watch the full video.

"Long and short of it – I am healing… I am here, I'm not going anywhere, and at the same time – I can't wait to come back. Please know that I am ok, and when sending me any well wishes, focus on that if you can."

He continued: "If you want to be an absolute legend and show your love and help support to me through all of this – Please consider picking up some merch, coffee, tab books, bloodline guitar cable, murder axe guitar, guitar lessons, artwork, cameos, my music, and anything else that speaks to you. If donations are more your speed, you can Venmo me @dansugarman."
