Holy Crap; I Interviewed DANZIG Last Friday!

Danzig

L to R: TonesOfDeath.com's Luis and Liz, Me, Danzig, Frank

When we were told we could get a few minutes with Danzig before his NYC show last Friday, we totally jumped at the opportunity. I decided the dude is too serious to try to make jokes around him, so I just went for more straight forward questions since we only had a few minutes anyway. We walk in and the first thing he says is that I look like the son of the Big Show. It caught me totally off-guard. Not only did Danzig have a sense of humor, but the guy was a wrestling fan. We talked about the new album for a little bit, and the interview went smoothly. It should be up in a few weeks.

After the interview, Danzig was telling me how he performing in Richmond, VA and between songs said "Somebody told me this was Ric Flair country" and the entire place errupted into Woos. I then mentioned how he should've chopped Tommy Prong at that point, "I should've!" Danzig responded. Did I really just have a wrestling convo with Danzig? Ridiculous!

The whole thing of course was because he was promoting his album, Death Red Saboth (which I was only able to properly pronounce and he said it to me). The album comes out tomorrow and is currently streaming on AOL in it's entirety. It's definitely got the groove, which always works for me. Check it out and let us know what you think in the comments.
