Gimme Radio has always offered listeners the chance to grab their favorite records on vinyl. Now Gimme Radio is doing the thinking for listeners and offering a subscription-based vinyl service called Gimme Metal Vinyl Club. The club offers monthly limited or Gimme exclusive vinyl variants, many of which come with collectible merch items or other add-ons.
The first Gimme Metal Vinyl Club will launch in September and feature Possessed's 1985 classic Seven Churches. The album will be pressed on exclusive red wax and will come with a limited collectible Possessed enamel pin.
"Possessed’s debut Seven Churches hit the scene in 1985, and not only opened the gates for death metal (singer Jeff Becerra coined the term itself in ‘83) but weighed in with profound impact on legions of forward-thinking musicians for decades to follow. Recorded during the band’s junior high school spring break (!), Seven Churches blasts off opens with a lift from the version of 'Tubular Bells,' famously used in The Exorcist to blast off into the track of the same name, and from there on, the world is greeted with one of the most relentless, maniacal metal records of the 1980’s — one that and still appears checks in on countless publications’ ‘Essentials To Own’ lists. Via Gimme’s Subscription Series, fans now again have the opportunity to once again own host this master work on vinyl exclusively, — and in exclusive red wax to boot."
Subscriptions will be $25.99 monthly and are available here.
