GHOST Is No More; Long Live GHOST B.C.

On the heels of their Spring tour announcement, Ghost have announced that due to legal reasons, they will now be referred to as Ghost B.C. in the United States:

In the year of 13, the second phase of Ghost B.C. begins with the release of the sophomore psalm, Infestissumam, on April 9 via Loma Vista Recordings. Papa Emeritus II succeeded Papa Emeritus at the conclusion of phase one in the year of 12, and the Nameless Ghouls joined him under the unholy church's current moniker. Make no mistake, though. The rituals still demand the same reverence and praise, fortified through a delivery of sweetly satanic melodies, snaking distorted riffs, and vaudevillian keyboards.

While Ghost B.C. doesn't have the same catchy ring to it as just Ghost, it still doesn't change the fact that these guys rule. I seriously can't wait to see them live again, especially if their live show matches their recent Swedish award show performance:

"Rite Here Rite Now is a mostly comprehensive and extremely enjoyable—but slightly pointless—complement to Ghost's first film."
