Gene Hoglan can easily be called one of the most influential metal drummers of all time without much, if any at all, opposition. So here's your chance to own a piece of metal history from said influential drummer, with a portion of the proceeds going to The National Association of Free & Charitable Clinics in Memory of Chuck Schuldiner and Michelle Meldrum!
Hoglan is auctioning off his Pearl Masters Custom Set, which has been featured Pearl catalogs and Modern Drummer Magazine, as well as on tour with Opeth, Strapping Young Lad, Unearth, and on Hoglan's The Atomic Clock DVD. The kit was also used in the studio for Strapping Young Lad's The New Black, and a few Zimmer's Hole albums!
According to the press release, The Pearl Masters Custom Set features a 12×9, 15×11, 16×18 and two 24×16 kick drums. It also includes shells, rims, cymbal stands and a tom stand (this includes what is pictured on eBay only).
You can bid on the kit here, and hear what Hoglan has to say about the kit and the donation details below.
