Former Black Veil Brides bassist Ashley Purdy has been accused of abuse, both sexually and psychologically by former girlfriends. Allegations rose up last week on Twitter, with the hashtag #AshleyPurdy briefly trending. For the record, Purdy hasn't been with the band since November 2019.

The first person to call out Purdy was a Twitter user named Pearl Carolina. In a series of tweets, she accuses Purdy of constant verbal abuse. She claims he had unprotected sex with her after getting her extremely intoxicated. After going public, she noted that others had reached out to her with warnings.

Here is her full story:

Another woman, going by the handle "duality" came forward with a thread about Purdy preying on her when she was 17. She claims Purdy was grooming her and sent her photos of women he wanted her to emulate. She claims that when they met up, he pressured her to drink and then have sex on his band's tour bus.

A woman by the name of Aleena Averly came forward on Instagram, claiming to be a former associate of the band, saying she herself witnessed Purdy engaging with underage fans. She wrote "The last time I was around him, [he] got an underaged girl drunk on the bus that he had [to] meet around back of the venue because security wouldn't let her through because she was under age."

Purdy has since posted a video response, but made his social media private. Loudwire reports he disputes the allegations and offers a man who claims to be his roommate to vouch for his version of the events.

Black Veil Brides commented on social media saying "We have been informed of the allegations against a former member of our band and we want to make it clear that we do not condone the type of abhorrent behavior that's been described. We are committed to creating a safe community for our fans and advancing a culture in which abuse of any kind is not tolerated."
