Fates Warning dropped Darkness In A Different Light in 2013, the band's first record in nine years at the time. It was really well received and was the band's first release with Bobby Jarzombek on drums. Now, nearly three years later, the band is back again for more new material! Guitarist Jim Matheos says the band will hit the studio in December and hopes to have the record out soon enough.
"I'm happy to announce that all the music for FW12 is now written. Still some work to do on lyrics and final arrangements, but the plan is for us to start tracking in December with a release date planned for the first half of 2016. In the meantime, I hope to see and meet a lot of you on the upcoming U.S. dates."
So let's tentatively plan for new Fates Warning next spring! 2016 is looking awesome for new music and this just adds to that pile.
