While Chris Cornell's daughter gave her father a touching Father's Day tribute, it doesn't seem things are quite as peaceful with Tommy Lee and his older son. In March, Tommy Lee and his 21-year-old son Brandon Lee, got into an altercation where the younger Lee punched his father and gave him a fat lip.
The drama may have started because Tommy's ex-wife, and Brandon's mom, Pamela Anderson was interviewed by British talk show host Piers Morgan. During the interview, Morgan asked Anderson about the abuse she endured at the hands of Lee during their marriage 20 years ago. This set Lee off.
The elder and younger Lee ended up in the same room and a fight broke out. TMZ reports in the criminal report Brandon allegedly told Tommy "Get up old man and fight me" before punching Tommy out cold. Brandon then allegedly then said, "Look at you, motherfucker, you are knocked-out."
Brandon then went public called his father an alcoholic. Tommy Lee responded by saying he definitely enjoys his fair share of drinking but he has it under control, and that his son is making up the story to cover his ass. This resulted in Mama Bear, Pamela Anderson stepping in to make a statement calling Lee a "disaster spinning out of control." Things got ugly in public but now it looks like cooler heads prevailed.
Tommy dropped all the charges, but couldn't help but speak up a bit yesterday, in an Instagram post about Father's Day. Essentially, he said he tried to do the best he could to raise his sons the way Tommy's father raised him but he feels that his ex-wife, Pamela Anderson, spoiled the kids.

Happy Father’s Day fellas! I’m not gonna sit here and post some fluffed up bullshit for the public to read…. I’m gonna be honest- Being a father ain’t easy! I’m so tired of the fake shit I keep seeing all over IG… let’s get real: It’s a rollercoaster ok? My father taught me to respect everyone and everything and to take care of those that I loved. He taught me to appreciate my possessions, and to be grateful for the things I was given. I’ve fucked up at times but I’ve always bounced back. When I had a child, my first child, I wanted to instill those same virtues into him. Sometimes I feel like I failed as a father, because my kids don’t know the value of things. If they break something, they don’t care because they know they’ll just get a new one, if they hurt someone, they don’t care because so many people tell them it’s OK. I never wanted this for my kids. I know I’m not fully to blame, because their mom has a lot to do with it, enabling bad behavior and buying them things when they weren’t good, but I guess I hoped at the end of the day they would end up kind. I love them dearly, don’t get me wrong, but man, sometimes it’s really tough to watch your kids grow up without those morals. Nothing can really prepare you for fatherhood …. I love my boys but they can be assholes too…and that’s the truth (Cue Honest Guy music)
The younger Lee responded by taking a screenshot of Lee's statement and writing a retort:
"Remember what happened last time you said this shit? ? night night ? You gotta show up to be a Dad big guy. If you think we’re so bad (which I can assure you we are not) then you should have showed up to a few more BDays and baseball games. Someone like you couldn’t raise a man like me. Once again painting our family in a negative light. Who the fuck are you? Just move on dude… WE ALL HAVE. ✌?or I’ll put you right back to fuckin sleep ?"
The younger Lee briefly posted a video of Tommy Lee being knocked out wearing nothing but a t-shirt and boxers with Tommy's fiance imploring Brandon to stop taping. It's assumed this video was taken moments after Brandon knocked his father out.
Brandon eventually took down the video and posted another message:
Please, keep it private and settle the beef!
