For the first time, Guns N' Roses frontman Axl Rose and bassist Duff McKagan spoke about the reasons behind the band's reunion we'd been assured for years would "never happen" in an interview with Globo TV.
In the interview, Axl Rose gave a brief explanation as to why former guitarist Izzy Stradlin didn't participate in the reunion:
"I don't really know what to say about Izzy. It's like you could have a conversation and think it's one way and the next day it's another way. And I'm not trying to take any shots at Izzy. It's just his thing is kind of his thing, whatever that is."
Stradlin followed up on Rose's comments via Twitter, calling them "bullshit."

So I guess the truth will come out at some point? Either way, right now it just seems like yet another case of finances getting in the way.
