Metal has sold out, you guys! It's officially mainstream. In the last few weeks, two new instances of metal bands appearing in commercials have popped up.
First up, the Death Angel track "The Ultra Violence" was used to advertise a new turkey burger at West Coast chain Carls, Jr. I'm sort of sold on this:

Secondly, and much more prone to "sell out" feedback, Dragonforce guitarists Herman Li and Sam Totman actually appear in a commercial, eternally ruining any underground cred by being seen by millions and millions of people during primetime TV and being able to maybe afford a few bill payments… so selfish.

All joking aside, this is great news for both bands who can enjoy a little extra income while working on their music. This isn't the first time metal has been used in commercials, and definitely won't be the last. My personal favorites are either the black metal FedEx commercial or the black metal KFC commercial.
