It's been almost a year and a half since Greg Puciato first revealed, exclusively to us, that he was collaborating with Max Cavalera. Max has said in the past that he's labeling this as sort of a "Nailbomb 2" project, getting really heavy. They also recruited Converge bassist Nate Newton and drummer Dave Elitch formerly of The Mars Volta. Things have been quiet, since both guys have been busy with their main gigs, but looks like business is picking up. Puciato issued the following update:
“Just wrapped a week of jamming w/ Max Cavalera and Dave Elitch. Long days of deafening volumes. Elitch: “How the fuck do you two not wear earplugs?”. What? What Dave? Sorry, I can’t hear ya, bud. Eventual album really starting to come together. Projected recording date, producer, and mixer almost set in stone.
Details will be more frequent in the next few months. Just keeping y’all in the loop for now. DEP has a new shirt up, go pick it up on our site. My friend and jedi master Devin Townsend just finished mixing his forthcoming “Epicloud” album, make sure you stay hip to that eventual release, no way is it gonna be anything but glorious.”
