Every year, Roadburn is held in Tilburg, The Netherlands, and is curated by a specific artist. This year's curator is Converge frontman Jacob Bannon, whose choices in lineup and special sets are pretty interesting so far!

For starters, Converge will play the entirety of its new album The Dusk In Us on April 19 and You Fail Me on April 20 at the 013 venue, Tilburg.  Then you've got a rare appearance by Panopticon, who will be playing songs from its coming double album The Scars Of Man On The Once Nameless Wilderness and a career-spanning selection at Het Patronaat on April 19 and 20.

One more for the double set list is Godspeed You! Black Emperor, who will be playing on April 21 and 22 at 013 Venue. Other performances at the festival will include Hugsjá, the project of Wardruna's Einar Selvik & Enslaved's Ivar Bjørnson, Ex Eye, Igorrr, Bell Witch, Aerial Ruin, and Sangre de Muerdago.

Here's what Bannon had to say about curating the festival.

“It is an honor to be working as the curator for Roadburn Festival 2018. The festival is unlike any other, showcasing the most forward thinking artists and musicians of the heavy music world. As this year’s curator I will reach across its sub-genres to bring together an array of incredible bands/musicians, expanding the reach of the festival while celebrating the world of extreme music that we all love.”

Tickets will go on sale on October 19.
