COHEED & CAMBRIA To Donate Oklahoma Ticket Sales To The Center For Reproductive Rights

In the wake of the Roe V. Wade repeal.

Coheed

Coheed & Cambria has announced they're donating all ticket sales for their Oklahoma City show, with a minimum of $25,000, to the Center for Reproductive Rights. This decision for the donation comes in the wake of the repeal of Roe V. Wade. After the repeal, Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt signed several anti-abortion bills into law, which KOCO News 5 reports "varied from banning abortions at conception or when cardiac activity is detected and allowing civil lawsuits." Coheed joins Rage Against The Machine in support for reproductive rights, the latter of which donated $425,000 from ticket sales for their upcoming Wisconsin and Illinois shows.

"In light of today’s Roe V. Wade Supreme Court decision and Oklahoma’s recent near-total ban on abortion, we will be donating all profits (min $25,000) from our Oklahoma City show (August 20) to the Center for Reproductive Rights."

Coheed & Cambria will hit the road with Alkaline Trio and Mothica at one of the dates below. The band also released their new album Vaxis – Act II: A Window Of The Waking Mind last week, which we gave a pretty positive review.
