Linkin Park vocalist Chester Bennington's ex-wife Samantha Olit will earn 50% of Chester's Linkin Park royalties from here on out, according to a new court ruling. Olit was married to Bennington between 1996 and 2005, and in 2017 filed a court claim asking for the royalties as well as child support. Olit received the child support, but that was withdrawn in June 2019.

Bennington's estate has agreed to the 50% cut, which is interesting considering the executor of the estate is Bennington's wife Talinda Bennington.

Otherwise, all has been relatively quiet on Linkin Park's end. All we know right now is that according to Linkin Park multi-instrumentalist Mike Shinoda, Linkin Park is open to a new singer, but they're not actively looking for one.

"Lemme clarify a rumor. We are not looking for a new singer, and if it were to happen organically, I’d be open. Seems pretty clear, yet I guess some folks have a hard time understanding. I’m not into predicting the future. The future will happen. Stop making shit up."

Chester Bennington passed away in June 2017.
