If you're not familiar, Charred Walls Of The Damned features bassist Steve DiGiorgio (Testament, ex-Death, etc.), drummer Richard Christy (ex-Death, ex-Iced Earth), guitarist Jason Suecof (producer for Cryptopsy, Job For A Cowboy, The Black Dahlia Murder, etc.), and vocalist Tim "Ripper" Owens (ex-Death, ex-Iced Earth). The band released two records, one in 2010 and one in 2011, and then proceeded to drop off the face of the Earth due to other commitments… I mean, come on. You can see who's in that lineup and what those dudes are up to.
Fortunately, it looks like 2016 will be the return of the band, at least according to Christy's Twitter! Because 2016 is magic and everyone good is coming back.

In the event you're imagining what that quartet sounds like together, I can pretty much guarantee you that you're dead on. It's chunky, fast metal with operatic vocals that sound fantastic, and exactly what we need more of in the world.
