Today marks a very dark anniversary, the tenth anniversary of the death of one of the most legendary guitarists in heavy metal history, Dimebag Darrell. Darrell was shot on stage by a crazed "fan" whose name does not deserve to be reprinted. Not only did Dime lose his life, but three of his friends, Nathan Bray, Jeffrey Thompson and Erin Halk, also lost theirs trying to help save his life.
While a death day is not much cause for celebration, being the 10th anniversary of such a monumental loss for the metal community, we thought we'd take a moment to stop and reflect on the greatness that was Dime!
