Last week, the online metal community threw a shit fit when Adult Swim posted what looked like a trailer for a new season of Metalocalypse, except it was actually a clip from last season.
Once Brendon Small shot down the rumors of a new season, he told us all hope is not gone and he has a plan "to service a final story & music- but not in way fans are used to."
Fans were up in arms over the weekend, even starting a petition for Adult Swim to bring back the show. As of this writing, the petition has nearly 7,000 signatures. People really want some new Dethklok.
Small was getting bombarded by fans over the weekend with tweets, so he offered some new nuggest of information, namely that Adult Swim were the ones who passed on a new season:
For those complaining about lack season 5. Was a network decision- I wanted to do it as a final big mini series. They said no. True story.

All hope is not lost thought, Small promises there will be a final chapter in the Dethklok story:
