I was super bummed when the bassist Henry Selva announced that his band The Human Abstract had broken up, but it seems that he may have spoken too soon. Guitarist Dean Herrera addressed the "break up" or lack thereof on his Formspring page saying:
As far as I'm concerned we aren’t broken up, that was Henry going out and spewing the inner workings of the band. We never actually came together and decided anything. I’m still real pissed at him for that. Sure, we’re taking time, but that doesn’t mean anything other than that… Taking time.. As far as Travis…. who knows… can’t say what might have happened.
In a sense, it's reassuring that the book isn't fully closed on The Human Abstract, but in another sense, it's troubling the lack of communication the band has. I would think they should have a meeting and decided their future before speaking publicly on the matter. Hopefully, they can resolve whatever issues they may have and get back to way they do best: shredding our heads off. [via Heavy Blog is Heavy]
