PROTEST THE HERO Part Ways with Bassist Arif Mirabdolbaghi

I can't say we didn't see this coming. A few months ago, Protest the Hero announced that bassist Arif Mirabdolbaghi was sitting out the tour at the time to focus on a "stage adaptation of a Dostoevsky story entitled The Double."

Well, it looks as if his play production plans are going really well, because Arif is not currently on the road with Protest The Hero and MetalSucks reports that frontman Rody Walker announced at the band's Sunday show in Raleigh, NC that Arif is out of the band.

Seeing as though how tight these guys were, I doubt there is any internal drama and rather Arif is just moving onto a different phase of his life. There has yet to be an official announcement online by the band and no word on who the replacement is. Producer Cameron McLellan filled in for Arif on the previous tour, but we don't know if he is still doing so.
