Today was not a good day for Oceano. Vocalist Adam Warren posted on his Facebook wall "I'm shocked, but well… If Killswitch can go on after 9 years and 3 albums without Mr. Jones on vox…. Why couldn't a certain band with out me? (2 albums and a mere 3 years) Just sayin." That pretty much implied that he was out of the band. A follow-up post stated that he is quitting to be a father to his son, which is as noble a reason as any to quit the ever-declining music business. For a minute, it seemed like the band might have been looking for a new vocalist as they jokingly posted on their Facebook "Hey Howard..send us your demo ;)" but it was for naught, as today the band officially announced it was over:
Just to clear everything up, Oceano is NOT looking for a new singer. New England Metal and Hardcore Festival will be one of the last Oceano shows ever, and yes, Adam will be there. Thanks for all of your support.
There you have it. The first casualty of the First Wave of American Deathcore. Oceano, you will always be remembered in my heart for your bravery in taking on Lambgoat comments head on and having them read to your faces. You guys always had a sense of humor.
