Drummer Jon "Charn" Rice Leaves JOB FOR A COWBOY

Just as we learned that Job For A Cowboy has begun writing new music, the band's longtime drummer, Jon "Charn" Rice has abruptly announced he's leaving the band.

Charn made it official with a statement he sent to us personally stating:

“As of this past August, I have decided to part ways with Job for a Cowboy. There are a few reasons for this, none of which I’m going to get into.

“That being said, I have no intentions of stopping touring or playing. I honestly love to tour and play live with new people, so I look forward to playing in new musical arenas in the future.

“The dudes and I are on very good terms with this and they understand the decision. They have a new record in the making and I’m extremely excited to hear it.

“Thanks again to everyone.”

Job For A Cowboy are no strangers to lineup changes and should have no trouble finding a new skinsman. Meanwhile, Rice has been spending his years touring with bands like The Red Chord and 1349 in addition to his JFAC duties. I know that the Red Chord consider him an official member of the band. The point is, the dude is not going away anytime soon either.
