Crowbar are having some pretty terrible luck lately, what with their drummer going under the knife for cancer and losing their bassist… and it doesn't seem like it was a clean severance either.
In a quote obtained by Blabbermouth, guitarist and vocalist for the group Kirk Windstein said:
"I'm more hurt than anyone about Pat leaving Crowbar, but keep in mind that there were years that I was the only member in Crowbar."
Windstein doesn't sound like he's all too happy about the split, with maybe a bit of resentment about Bruders' departure given the whole "I am Crowbar" bit at the end. Which makes sense, don't get me wrong since I don't know any more than you do, but we'll be left in the dark on this one I guess. The band also made a comment on their Facebook regarding the situation, but it's since been deleted (though retrieved by The PRP):
“We have a few prospects for bass player.. not a worry. Our main concern is [drummer] Tommy getting better..”
Another interesting thought about the situation is if Bruders is also quitting Down, given Windstein is in the band as well and we're not sure of their current relationship. Here's to hoping everything is alright!
