Half of CHIMAIRA No Longer In CHIMAIRA [UPDATED With New Lineup]

What the hell is going on in Chimaira? Their bassist quit in November, their keyboardist quit a few weeks ago and now their drummer quit/was let go from the band. That means in the last few months, half of Chimaira's roster has been depleted. [UPDATED with info on the new lineup…]

Drummer Andols Herrick submitted a lengthy message saying there was some drama between he and the remainder of the band, and they were like "we think you should go" but then later were all like "lol, jk, we were kidding… come back" or and he was all like "Uhh, I'm 31 and this band is stagnant, I'm gonna go do something else". This is the reason keyboardist Chris Spicuzza gave for leaving in his statement a few weeks back (he is starting up an iPhone app development company)

The question remains: where does this leave Chimaira? The band has announced they will be holding a live Ustream video chat tonight at 9pm eastern to address the situation and their future plans. We'll see what happens. The chat happened and we now have answers:

Vocals – Mark Hunter
Guitars – Rob Arnold
Guitars – Matt DeVries
Bass – Emil Werstler (Daath)
Keyboards/Samples – Sean Zatorsky (Daath)
Drums – Austin D’Amond (Bleed The Sky, The Elite)

Chimaira poached two key members of Daath, who werent't going to be doing much touring anyway. The band is eyeing an August release date through eOne Music, produced by Ben Schigel, who also handled the drumming in the studio. Here is the band's full announcement…
