While Blink-182 is obviously not metal, we still want to take a moment to offer our best wishes to bassist Mark Hoppus, who just revealed he's battling cancer.
Hoppus shared a photo from inside of a hospital or a medical facility of some sort with a caption that read "Yes hello. One cancer treatment, please."
Hoppus followed it up with another statement that read "For the past three months, I've been undergoing chemotherapy for cancer.
"I have cancer. It sucks and I'm scared, and at the same time I'm blessed with incredible doctors and family and friends to get me through this.
"I still have months of treatment ahead of me but I'm trying to remain hopeful and positive.
"Can't wait to be cancer free and see you all at a concert in the near future. Love to you all."
Hoppus is 49-years-old. We wish him a speedy recovery.
