Before you get all crazy about Mastodon not releasing anything and Bill having a solo album and whatever, chill; they're not happening anywhere near each other.

So in an interview posted up by the Canadian magazine The Scene (above), Bill Kelliher started talking about how he has enough material outside Mastodon for a solo. I can only assume this means it'll be super not-Mastodon sounding? Or else why would it be outside the band? He also talked abut re-recording some material from his old band Butterslax and putting that out there under the Butterslax name… because fuck it, right? It'll be cool to get an insigh from Bill into his head about what he does solo and what he's done with Butterslax, though he also made sure to note that he only "one day hopes to put together" these projects. Here's to "one day" coming soon!
