BATTLEFIELDS sign deal with Translation Loss

After 3 years of consistently increasing their exposure in Minnesota, BATTLEFIELDS recently announced their signing to the much-lauded Translation Loss record label. BATTLEFIELDS have steadily been gaining notoriety in the Twin Cities' underground metal scene both for their forward thinking blend of extremely heavy progressive metal and ambient music and for their ability to frequently land the opening slots on some of the best national shows to come through the area. By already releasing two EPs of consistently amazing material (on the recent Entourage of the Archaic and their earlier top-of-the line debut Stained With The Blood of an Empire) and securing opening slots for bands such as ROSETTA, YAKUZA, THESE ARMS ARE SNAKES, PELICAN, KYLESA, GENGHIS TRON, RUSSIAN CIRCLES, BIG BUSINESS, THIS WILL DESTROY YOU, and MURDER BY DEATH, BATTLEFIELDS has become a local favorite for fans from every corner of metal in Minneapolis. This is a band that has frequently been described as "the missing link between ISIS and CONVERGE", and for good reason; their brutal hardcore-infused-doom metal is as head-explodingly heavy and visceral as it is soothing and cerebral.

BATTLEFIELDS still untitled Translation Loss debut is currently being recorded at The Devil's Workshop in Minneapolis, Minnesota with drummer engineering. It will be mastered by Nick Zampiello at New Alliance Audio will will see an early-2009 release. Artwork and graphic design will be completed by renowned artist Paul Romano (MASTODON, TRIVIUM, NASUM, STARKWEATHER, etc.).
