We already knew it was coming, but now we have solid proof. At the year of the year, Amon Amarth issued an update where they announced that they have completed writing a new album and will soon enter the studio. Here is their update:

2013 will be another intense year for Amon Amarth, and looks like it will be slightly unpredictable and mischievous…
We’ve just finished writing all the songs for the next full-length album, and we’re ready to enter the studio to start recording them in the new year.

Viking fans have plenty to be pumped about as I'm hearing the band is hoping to have the album out by the summer time. So, by the summer we will have new Amon Amarth and new Game of Thrones as well, so 2013 is a huge year for fans of vikings.
