AC/DC Unveils Original Highway To Hell Artwork Their American Record Label Denied

It kinda sucks.

Highway To Hell

AC/DC has been celebrating their iconic 1979 album Highway To Hell with some old-school footage. Now they're letting fans into the vaults a little bit more. AC/DC has taken to Instagram to post the original artwork for Highway To Hell, which stems from the same artwork you all know, but with a lot of additions that frankly makes it look pretty cheesy. This version of Highway To Hell was available in the band's home country of Australia, but was shot down in flames by the American branch of Atlantic Records.

Highway To Hell has gone on to sell about 9 million copies to date, so I'm not really sure the artwork ended up mattering given the legendary status of the music.

The original 'Highway To Hell' cover was "shot down in flames" by the American record company… ⚡️⚡️⚡️???
