Vadiat is here to discuss the mortality of Jesus with you thanks to their new single "Spear Of Destiny." And by "discuss," I mean "beat you over the head with riffs until you're a paste on the floor." Which is sort of a form of discussion, and an enjoyable one at that.
"The idea for the song title, which would become the album title, came from the Lance of Longinus or Spear of Destiny, the spear that was alleged to have pierced the side of Jesus as he hung on the cross during his crucifixion," said Vadiat of the single.
"The line 'Spear of Creation- Mortal Man Dies' is in reference to the story of the disciples of Christ realizing their Savior was just a mortal man and his crucifixion sealed any doubts they had of the mighty Father rescuing his son."
Vadiat will release their new record Spear Of Creation on April 28, the CD of which will close out with a cover of Trouble's "Pray For The Dead." Pre-orders are available here.
