Thra will release their new record Forged In Chaotic Spew on July 28, and I'm not sure the title could better encapsulate the album's sound. One listen to our premiere of the single "Drag" will assure you of that, and quickly.

"This record is a compilation of self expression throughout the last ten years of our lives," said guitarist and vocalist Robert Wolfe. "This is our contribution to heavy music and we put the darkest parts of our hearts into crafting these songs. All these songs come from very different time periods between now and when we were teenagers, so each song has a very different sound, but they still encompass the overall feeling we have come to portray as Thra."

"We feel that we had been boxed-in in the past, strictly as a doom band because of our mid-paced songs, large amps and extremely loud live shows. We want to show people that we can step outside our comfort zone and bring a more energetic sound to the table. With 'Drag' we feel we have done that."

Forged In Chaotic Spew was recorded and mixed by Josh Medina, mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege, and given artwork by Fred Grabosky. Pre-orders are available here on Bandcamp and physical copies here on Translation Loss' website.
