The Black Dahlia Murder will release their new album Verminous on April 17, and boy is this new song "Child of Night" phenomenal. The chanty, almost demonic choruses and constantly guttural vocals are a whole new level of disgusting for the band. Plus having the grossly distorted bass way high up in the mix adds a great layer of grime to the whole thing.
Verminous was recorded at both The Pipeyard in Plymouth, Michigan by ex-bassist Ryan "Bart" Williams and at guitarist Brandon Ellis' home studio, the Shred Light District. Verminous was mixed by Tue Madsen (At The Gates, Dark Tranquillity) and mastered by Alan Douches (Cannibal Corpse, Hate Eternal), and given artwork by Juanjo Castellano (Paganizer, Avulsed, Bodyfarm).
