Sylosis went on hiatus in 2016 so guitarist and composer Josh Middleton could temporarily join Architects after the passing of guitarist and songwriter Tom Searle. Middleton joined Architects full time in 2017, though Sylosis promised they'd be back at some point.
Then on December 5 there appeared a listing on Nuclear Blast's website for a new Sylosis album called Cycle Of Suffering. The album was reportedly out February 14, 2020 and of course fans immediately perked up. Notably, the second track on the reported track list was "I Sever," which you'll find streaming below.
Welcome back, Sylosis. We missed you, and now we're just waiting for a formal announcement for the album and if the band's lineup is still the same as it was in 2016.
