Stone Sour is continuing down the path of releasing old demos, now from their 2006 record Come What(ever) May. The band has now released the demo for "Sillyworld," which guitarist Josh Rand said was written by guitarist Jim Root. Root left the band in 2014.
"When James was out on tour with Slipknot during the Iowa cycle, he decided to buy a Boss BR 1180 digital recorder so he could record his ideas on his days off. One of his 1st recordings ended up being Sillyworld. Here is that version."
Come What(ever) May would go on to sell over 1 million copies and be certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Stone Sour is planning on releasing a rarities and demo album sometime this summer, but has no plans for a new album anytime soon.
