With everyone stuck inside thanks to Covid-19 and metal fans watching tours, festivals, and albums all get delayed, it's nice to see some sort of light in these dark times. Book of the Dead are ready to drop some new music and even though the physical release of the new EP Bound In Flesh, Inked In Blood has been delayed, this Friday will still see a digital release.

Shred Some Brand New Melo-Death With BOOK OF THE DEAD's "The Drachnid"

Featuring Charlie Marvel (Visceral Disgorge) on guitar, bass, and drums, alongside vocalist Mike Comegys (Whisteria Cottage) and guitarist Wes Walker, Book of the Dead are beyond ready to release this new batch of music. Taking strong hints from the likes of The Black Dahlia Murder, these guys have created a band that's full of shred, melody, and hard hitting riffs. The vocal style alone is very similar to that of Trevor Strnad, but mixed with the musicianship of the band, it would be hard to find a fan of melodic death metal that wouldn't enjoy this new EP. With Bound In Flesh, Inked In Blood coming out this Friday, Book of the Dead have prepared a guitar playthrough for their new track "The Drachnid" which features some melody, some insanity, and a bunch of shred.

Discussing the new EP, Book of the Dead said: "We are extremely stoked to unleash our debut EP, entitled 'Bound In Flesh, Inked In Blood,' which drops this coming Friday April 10, 2020. We have been working on this for over a year now and it's awesome to finally see it all come together, and of course we're looking forward to getting that feedback from fans to hear what everyone thinks of the riff heavy shredtastic mix of melody and brutality that we put together."

Check out the guitar playthrough below, be sure to help out where you can. Bound In Flesh, Inked In Blood is available via Rebel Pyro Musick and can still be pre-ordered physically and digitally
