Something is in the water in Brisbane, Australia, to produce the nasty and disgusting sounds that death grind act Resin Tomb put forward on their new single, "Surfacing." The track reminds me of bands like Converge, Entombed and Napalm Death.
Drummer Perry Vedelago says of the track “Instrumentally, ‘Surfacing’ represents the forces that bonded to produce the backbone of Resin Tomb. Influences that have been deeply embedded in the bands pysche, naturally emerge whilst exploring the transgressions of extreme music. This song came together in the same effect that one has to piece together the various intricacies of life, waiting to be overcome, then for another to surface.“
The band's new self-titled album comes out July 31st and can be pre-ordered here.
