Remember when Serj Tankian made a surprise appearance at a Game of Thrones symphony performance a few years ago? Turns out, the song that he sang, “The Rains of Castamere,” was actually recorded in the studio for what is now the season 8 soundtrack of the just-concluded show.
You can hear the full studio version of the track below. The track is about a war in the town of Castamere (which the great Tywin Lanister won, by the way).

The song was previously recorded by Sigar Ros and The National.
As for the series finale, ultimately, it was a satisfying journey for me, even if I had a few minor qualms. The series itself, was one of the most fun rides I'd ever taken with a television show. Did you enjoy the finale?
