Katatonia will release their first new album in four years City Burials on April 24, and after having heard the whole thing I can honestly say it's one of my favorites. It retains all their usual depressing splendor, but there's something oh-so-catchy about it in a few new directions they really nail. "The Winter of Our Passing" is a great example of that.
"'The Winter Of Our Passing' is a concise song that mixes electronic elements with a classic Katatonia chorus," said vocalist Jonas Renkse. "It’s a song about surrender and trying to navigate the darkness."
