Infernal Coil will soon hit the road with Sumac and Dälek, during which time they'll also release their debut full-length album Within A World Forgotten. Infernal Coil is streaming a brand new song today called "Continuum Cruciatus," whose music is just a swirling, writhing mass of death metal (without being overblown).
Here's what the band had to say about the track:
"This movement embodies the struggle that all individuals should feel while trying to render their emotions into something tangible. It is never an easy task, and more often than not, it creates ripples of consequences and new wounds on your mind, body, and those close to you. However, this materialization is absolutely imperative to ensure a true catharsis and growth. The lyrics are written as a sort of mantra or prayer, to the uncontrollable undercurrent of our inner chaos/anguish. The inexplicable drive to answer pain with pain, as penance or self-discovery."
