Philly's In The Presence Of Wolves sounds like The Mars Volta and Coheed & Cambria got together and decided that both their sounds individually were pretty great, but things need to be way heavier. Today we've been given the privilege to premiere the band's new song "The One Who Fell To Earth," which is four minutes of insane progressive heaviness that'll leave you needing to hear the rest of the album.
The band's forthcoming EP Of Two Minds, Stages 1-2: The Ape and The Cage was recorded with Dillinger Escape Plan's Kevin Antreassian, which vocalist and bassist Vini Stamato says encouraged In The Presence Of Wolves to get a little crazier.
"Working directly with Dillinger Escape Plan's Kevin Antreassian on the record definitely inspired a heavier edge to the songs. This new album is more focused and definitely has a lot more to say. We added a lot more to our existing traditional progressive influences and it provided us with an incredibly freeing writing experience."
