Puddle Of Mudd recently announced their first album in four years Ubiquitous with a questionable debut single that felt like a bad demo. Now Puddle Of Mudd is streaming their second Ubiquitous single and not only is it nothing like the first one production-wise, but it's not even sonically similar.
Puddle Of Mudd's new single "Cash & Cobain" feels like a blatant grab at modern country radio, and a flat one at that. Though Puddle Of Mudd frontman Wes Scantlin seems happy with it, and it's his record. So hooray for that, I guess?
"I totally dig the song 'Cash & Cobain'," said Scantlin. "The song covers a lot of different genres, which I think is pretty cool. It was a collaboration with Colin Brittain. I'm still flabbergasted by how we managed to blend all these musical styles into a single track. It's like we took all these genres, mixed and matched until they meshed perfectly."
