HISSING's New Song "Hostile Absurdity" Is Total Death Metal Chaos

Like Portal, but for humans.

Hissing will release their new record Hypervirulence Architecture on July 15 and is now streaming their latest single "Hostile Absurdity." The single sounds like if Portal managed to step out of their vortex and make music for actual human ears while simultaneously fighting the urge to step back into their horrifying netherworlds. Ultimately, Hissing just does a great job blending death metal and black metal to create their own swirling form of chaos, and we're collectively here for it.

Hypervirulence Architecture was recorded and mixed by Detto, mastered by Dan Lowndes, and given cover and interior art by Sindre Foss Skancke with additional art by Ethan McCarthy. Pre-orders are available here, and you can catch Hissing doing a few West Coast shows next month with Human Effluence at one of the dates below.

7/14 – Seattle, WA @ Substation
7/15 – Portland, OR @ High Water Mark
7/16 – Oakland, CA @ Elbo Room Jack London
