Errant, the new project headed up by multi-instrumentalist Rae Amitay (Immortal Bird, Thrawsunblat), will release its self-titled debut EP on April 3. Errant is streaming its debut track "A Vacillant Breath" right now, which is a great mix of spacey shoegaze and some pretty harsh vocals.
“This was the first song I started writing for this project, and the last one I completed," said Amitay. "It’s a departure from what people might expect to hear from me, and it felt like growth to create an opportunity for myself to experiment with different vocal styles and genre blends. Immortal Bird is very personal, of course, but this EP and this song in particular was a chance to fully express certain thoughts and ideas — some of which I haven’t delved into until this project.”
