Amorphis will release their new album Queen Of Time on May 18, which has a lot to live up to considering how phenomenal and well-received the band's 2015 album Under The Red Cloud was. Fortunately Amorphis has not only departed from the latter's sound, they've completely nailed it with their new song "The Bee." The track reminds me a lot of their Skyforger album, but with way more keyboards. Plus there's absolutely no way the chorus isn't getting stuck in your head.
"Of course, the lyrical inspiration is a bee, also in a metaphoric way. The tiniest thing can sometimes be the most important thing. A bee can bring life or if we destroy all the bees, life will stop here. It's a very beautiful animal, that's why you can find it on the album cover too. The track itself is a kind of progressive and I'm sure that it will surprise some fans in a positive way. We love it!"
