We Came As Romans had a uniquely bad experience on their Australian tour when guitarist Josh Moore's hotel room was robbed. According to 7News Adelaide, an unnamed 37-year old man broke into Moore's room and eventually barricaded himself in there. Upon hotel staff getting bolt cutters to gain entry into the room, the man jumped out the fifth story window to escape… and lived.
Even more insane, the guy then called emergency rescue services to come and pick him up. 7News Adelaide notes that the man was taken to the hospital with critical injuries.
"We looked out the balcony and we saw a guy on the ground, like bloody and stuff. So we ran down here," said Moore. "Right next to him on the ground was one of my hats that he had stolen out of my luggage."
He continued: "No judgement on that guy. I don't know his life and what's going on, but I hope it gets better."
"I just hope he's alright, you know? He fell from five stories, which is insane," added We Came As Romans bassist Andy Glass.
