RAMMSTEIN Frontman Till Lindemann Accused of Assaulting A Man In A German Bar
According to a news report by German outlet Deutsche Welle, Rammstein frontman Till Lindemann is being accused of assaulting a man at a hotel bar. Lindemann allegedly got into an argument on June 8th at the Bayerischer Hof luxury hotel in Munich, Germany.
According to witnesses, Lindemann got into it with a 54-year-old man from Hamburg after the unidentified 54-year-old man insulted a friend of a singer's, who happened to be a woman. The 54-year-old allegedly called the woman a prostitute. The woman in question, identified by Bild as being named Lana, told the outlet "He said to me in English, 'I would pay double for you.'"
Lindemann, ever the gentleman, asked this dude if the guy just called his friend a prostitute and demanded an apology. The man allegedly threw his fists up and signaled for the door and, in what reads like a scene out of a movie, Lindemann popped the guy in the face with a stiff elbow, resulting in a bloody nose and possibly a broken jaw.
A former girlfriend of Lidemann's, 29-year-old model Sophia Thomalla, defended Lindeman to the outlet saying "Till is the most polite person I know. I have no idea what happened to upset him. But if he snapped, his reaction was justified."
Sounds like Till is a gentleman and a scholar.
