The Daily Mail reports 30-year old thief Stefu Costel has been sentenced to 14 months in jail for being in possession of 27 cell phones he stole at a Manchester Limp Bizkit show. The phones were worth a total of £9,000 (approximately $15,180) and, according to the report, were swiped from fans' pockets during the show. It's worth noting Costel has been convicted of this same crime last year, but at the Reading Music Festival, and even before that was arrested for conspiracy to steal from bank customers in a debit and credit scam. No word on whether or not Costel also stole the master tapes of the band's apparently phantom record Stampede of the Disco Elephants and that's why it's taking forever to be release, but that wasn't addressed in the report so I guess not.
Life lesson? Be attentive at shows, because you never know who the hell is around you or what they're up not. I'm not saying being on your guard the entire time and stop enjoying the show, but at least be aware of your surroundings.
