3 INCHES OF BLOOD's Cam Pipes' 5 Favorite Vocalists

Being one of the best vocalists in metal, we asked 3 Inches of Blood frontman, Cam Pipes to compile a list of his favorite vocalists. Here's what he sent over:

"It should be noted that these are listed in no particular order as I can't pick a favorite nor can I rank any of them above the other. Also it also is difficult to stop at just five because there are several other who deserve mention." -Cam

Bruce Dickinson

Growing up, Bruce Dickinson was a dominant influence on me. Not just on becoming a vocalist, but as inspiration to explore metal music in general. He's the one that got the ball rolling for me.

Ronnie James Dio

No words can truly do justice in describing how mighty Dio was as a singer and a force in Rock n Roll.  No one else sounded like him.  His voice and music was unique and unmistakable.

Ian Gillian

A monstrous yet soulful singer, he's been doing this since before the words "Heavy Metal" were attached to a musical genre and he still does it better than most.

Rob Halford

My vocals often draw comparisons to Halford's and although the similarities aren't intentional, his influence cannot be denied. A most formidable singer throughout his career, there's no wonder he's called the Metal God.

Udo Dirkschneider

I've drawn comparisons to him as well.  An underrated metal singer, but Udo's impact shouldn't be underestimated. This German juggernaut shows great versatility from soaring highs to his signature snarl."

3 Inches of Blood are spending all June on the road with Municipal Waste and Black Tusk. Get dates here.
